Reviews & Ratings

To have been lucky to spot Mars, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter and ISS passing in a single night is a indescribable feeling, for which we are grateful to the Amateur Astronomers Group to have organized a memorable event on such a day.
We appreciate their quality planning and management of resources, from well-kept tents to delicious home-made food. The lecture series were informative, though we'd like to suggest to add more interesting trivia about interplanetary bodies and other deep-space objects. Parts about astrophotography, discussions on black holes and time travel as mentioned in the itinerary were not taken up by the group, so we'd suggest better time management during the event.
We observed celestial bodies through the 8", 10" and 12" Dobsonian telescopes which provided us different views and perspectives of the same observing body, which was a plus point. They were helpful enough to provide elaborate answers to our curious questions, and even explained technicalities to those knowledgeable and interested. We found out about concepts like asterism like Summer and Winter Triangles, etc. for the first time, which were Eureka! moments for us.
Overall we'd rate a 4 out of 5, and definitely would recommend attending their events whenever announced.
